Welcome

At Bubs in Bloom, I’m passionate about supporting families through every stage of their breastfeeding journey. As an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Midwife, Maternal & Child Health Nurse, and Calmbirth® Educator, I bring years of knowledge, experience, and gentle guidance to help you feel confident and supported. Whether you’re preparing for birth, navigating those early days, or facing feeding challenges, I offer personalised care both antenatal and postnatal, always tailored to your unique needs.

About me

Hi, I’m Karen founder of Bubs in Bloom. With over 35 years of experience as a Nurse, Midwife, Maternal & Child Health Nurse, International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) Childbirth educator and mother of four, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside countless families through pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and the many seasons of early parenthood.

I know firsthand how joyful and at times, overwhelming this journey can be. Whether you’re feeding your first baby or parenting your fourth (or eighth!), every stage brings new questions, emotions, and decisions. Feeding, sleep, and everything in between… it’s a lot, and it can often feel isolating.

That’s exactly why I created Bubs in Bloom, to offer a calm, compassionate space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported. My goal is to help you feed and parent in a way that works for you and your unique family. No judgment. No one-size-fits-all advice. Just evidence-based support, tailored care, and genuine understanding.

At the heart of my work is a simple mission: to help you feel confident, connected, and supported — so you can embrace more of the beautiful moments with your baby and feel strong through the tough ones.

“Karen was an absolute lifeline for us in those early weeks. I came to her feeling overwhelmed and unsure, and she created such a calm, supportive space where I finally felt heard. Her gentle guidance helped me overcome feeding challenges and gave me the confidence I didn’t know I had. Thanks to her, I’m not just feeding my baby — I’m enjoying it. I can’t recommend Bubs in Bloom highly enough.”
